Executive Summary

ANALYST: COI RESEARCH

Injection of captured CO2 into fresh concrete during mixing, where it mineralizes and becomes permanently trapped, while also increasing the concrete's strength.

rate_review Analyst Verdict

"The most scalable path to greening the 'bones' of real estate. Concrete is responsible for ~8% of global emissions. This tech turns concrete into a carbon sink without changing the construction workflow or compromising structural integrity."

warning The Challenge

Real estate developers (especially tech giants like Amazon) have Net Zero commitments. However, the 'embodied carbon' of a building (the concrete structure) is massive and hard to reduce. Standard green concrete often costs more or cures slower.

psychology The Solution

Retrofit existing concrete plants with CarbonCure technology. Waste CO2 is captured from industrial emitters and injected into the concrete mix. The CO2 chemically reacts to form a mineral (calcium carbonate), strengthening the concrete. This allows producers to use less cement (the dirty part) while permanently sequestering the carbon.
